Furniture cleaning is a specialised skill - No DIY please!
Mike has years of experience in handling the most difficult fabrics, including Haitian Cotton, Wool, Velvet and many other fabrics, including white and off-white fabrics, that generally, other companies refuse to touch.
All upholstery is carefully inspected prior to cleaning. Then dependent on the type of material and degree of soiling, Mike will choose the most suitable cleaning process for your suite, sofa or armchair.
Preparation for the cleaning is also important, therefore every care is taken to protect the surrounding floor covering and other furniture items.
This may surprise you, but an average suite, combining of a 3 seater & 2 chairs takes at least 3-4 hours to clean effectively. Further time may be required to ensure that the end result leaves your suite in an immaculate condition.
Upholstery fabrics are like clothes you wear, they require cleaning. Body oils from skin and hair, newsprint, pets, kids, food and drink spills, combine to spoil the look of your fabrics.
The arm and headrest areas suffer most from body oils and newspaper print, which is the main reason why people have them cleaned regularly. Therefore, neglecting to clean your upholstery, particularly in these areas, may have a detrimental effect on the result of future cleaning. M&S Upholstery Cleaners Matlock, Bakewell & Chesterfield, recommend booking a cleaning appointment, no longer than 12 months between cleans.
We are confident that you will be amazed by the cleaning and the good news is - you won't have to wait long to use it. Our guaranteed drying time is between 4-8 hours depending on the soiling and wear of the item. Correct drying techniques are introduced to achieve quick drying, which apart from the convenience to the customer, eliminates the possibility of the item re-soiling prematurely.
You can take pride in your freshly restored upholstery, so how do you keep it looking good?
M&S Upholstery Cleaners Of Matlock, Bakewell, Chesterfield, Alfreton, Belper and surrounding areas have the answer! We offer two types of upholstery protective coverings depending on the fabric. One is a water-based protector for synthetics and the other is a solvent-based protector for more delicate and natural fabrics. Failure to protect your newly cleaned upholstery will result in stains and spillages being absorbed quickly into the fabrics, as no soil/stain resistant barriers are in place.
Over time and with regular wear, factory applied stain resistant treatments experience a reduction in effectiveness. Our highly efficient protective applications replenish the existing stain barriers, thus giving you peace of mind when it comes to stains and dirt.
Protecting fabrics makes economic sense because it is far cheaper to look after your investment than purchase a new upholstery item. A good quality suite, for instance, can cost £4,000 - £6,000. We can protect an average sized suite for less than £100 which is also far cheaper than your local retail outlets who can charge up to £250 to protect a new suite.
